The Fast and the Furious (1954)
With the latest of the Fast and the Furious franchise coming out on DVD, I thought that I'd make a quick comment on this movie. This low-budget Roger Corman-style juvenile delinquent movie has nothing to do with the new franchise, but seems to work okay, on its own merits. Frank Webster (John Ireland), is a man hiding from the police and gets involved in a road rally when he tries to steal Connie Adair's (Dorothy Malone) Jaguar.
Not much here folks, but kind of quaint for those who enjoy an older movie. also Watch Furious 7

This film is perfect for anyone who needs a sleeping aid. Some nice views of Pacific Coast Highway in the mid fifties though.
The story becomes tedious early in the film, and the tedium builds as the story does its best to progress. Not the worst bit of claptrap from which one might attempt to find amusement, this dramatization proves that there is a reason some films have been allowed to enter the public domain.
A man is arrested for murder, and breaks out of jail. While on the run, he kills a man in a fist fight, kidnaps a beautiful young woman, steals her car, then proclaims his “innocence” to his victim. Of course, she falls in love with him. I met my first wife in exactly the same manner.
I rate this film following a rubric where 5 stars = an “A” and 0 stars equal an “F”. D is the best grade I can give while keeping a good conscience.
